Led by a certified English-speaking guide, we will uncover the former glory of Kota Tua, which served as the headquarters for the VOC (Dutch East India Company) in Asia. We will then leisurely stroll through the remnants of Dutch colonial urban planning and architecture from the 17th to 18th centuries in Old Batavia. Along the way, we’ll pass by landmarks such as the oldest wooden drawbridge in the area, BI Museum (formerly De Javasche Bank), Kota Railways Station, Old Town Square and among others.

In approximately three hours, we’ll trace the footsteps of the VOC era while gaining insights into the significance of Batavia (now Jakarta) during the Dutch colonial period. Don’t forget to capture photos of the iconic spots along the route.

The tour will be delivered in English.

We suggest bringing additional equipment such as sunblock, umbrella, rain jacket and other personal equipment.

This tour is not recommended/suitable for wheelchairs and strollers.

RESHEDULE & REFUND POLICY

The tour cannot be refunded unless there is a cancellation from WALK INDIES.

The tour will only be canceled if it does not reach the minimum number of participants, so the tour fee will be fully refunded.

The itinerary can change at any time depending on the situation and conditions on the ground.

Tours can be rescheduled for free / free of charge no later than confirmation 10 days before the tour date.

If within less than 10 days before the date of the tour until 1X24 hours, participants wish to reschedule, a rescheduling fee of IDR 110,000/person is charged.

If less than 1X24 hours before the tour date, the participant who wants to reschedule is considered to have made a new purchase (cannot be rescheduled).
