Meet your guide at the Glodok Busway stop and then set off on your walking tour to explore the narrow alleys in the Chinatown. The first stop of your half day tour is Jin De Yuan Temple which is the oldest temple in Jakarta. In this multifaith temples, observe the symbols of harmony and the characteristic of Chinese deities. Walk into a market and pass by at traditional medicine parlor. Be lightly introduced to the application of Yin & Yang in healing, if time permits you can consult with the expert. Continue the journey to stop by at an old coffee shop to refresh your self with a serving of original local coffee. Along the way, you will find a lot of crowds enjoy unique cuisines that are famous for its authenticity.

Make your way to visit Kalimati market which sell local foods like Bak Cang, Moon cake, Ketupat sayur and tropic fruits such as Salak. The guide will explain some foods that has its own symbols and meaning. Another interesting temple will be the next destination. In 1740 this unique temple was destroyed in a riot that has an implication for the future and still has some remarks about the geographic location. Enjoy your guide colorful commentary at the next temple which dedicated for Guan Gong, the patron of battle. Wander inside the temple to see the ornaments of this “peranakan buliding”. Finish the tour in one of the last remaining Chinese mansion in Jakarta. Uniquely located under high towers, the building was save from extinction. The house has a perfect example of how the wealthy tycoon set their house harmonize with “Feng Shui”. Enjoy the air in the small garden as the tour concludes.
