Day 2
SAVONA, ITALY
Arrive 8:00 AM | Depart 6:00 PM
Above the port of Savona, the Priamar Fortress greets every departure and arrival of the Costa ships sailing in the Mediterranean. Genoa and its aquarium are nearby. The port of Savona is one of the prettiest of the Italian Riviera. The lovely climate, summers that are never too hot, mild winters and the exceptional beauty of the sea near the town makes Savona an excellent base to set out to explore Liguria. Savona is notable for the Priamar Fortress, which has dominated the town since the 16th century, and also for its historic center where you can visit Savona Cathedral. A stop in Savona can also be an opportunity to visit the nearby city of Genoa and its narrow, picturesque streets, known as “Caruggi”.

Day 3
MARSEILLE, FRANCE
Arrive 8:30 AM | Depart 5:00 PM
A pleasant thing to do is simply sit down at one of the cafes overlooking the port of Marseilles and, sipping a Pastis, observe the landscape and the people who inhabit it. Also called the “Porpoise City “, Marseille is France’s sunniest town, charming with its gullies where you can swim, its history and culture and restaurants with cosmopolitan cuisine. You cannot leave without having first toured on the “Cours Julien”, the street for shopping. The port of Marseille is perhaps a typical tourist destination, but it deserves to be visited for the ferry that leaves from the Town Hall and the old church, which replaced a Templar building.

Day 4
BARCELONA, SPAIN
Arrive 9:00 AM | Depart 7:00 PM
Barcelona’s nightlife: among the “Ramblas” we will discover great food and beer, but we are always under the watchful eye of Gaudi, who captured and expressed the soul of Barcelona in his architecture. The city is home to an innovative contemporary art museum, the Sagrada Familia Cathedral, and Camp Nou. Also, after visiting these popular destinations, you can discover the Catalan culture. During our stop in Barcelona, take a walk down La Rambla before visiting the Picasso Museum. In the city, you can see memorable architecture everywhere. Before leaving pay a visit to the neighborhood in the port of Barcelona. Completely renovated for the Olympic Games in 1992, it has become a place filled with bars, clubs, and restaurants.

Day 5 & 6
PALMA, SPAIN
Arrive 9:00 AM | Depart 1:00 AM ( +1 day)
In Spain, there is only one place that does holidays, leisure, shopping, and culture: Palma de Mallorca, where we stop on our Costa Cruise.Upon arrival in Palma de Mallorca, you can focus on the Island’s various activities: shopping, medieval buildings, walks on the beach or mountain climbing. Go downtown for a stroll to the port of Palma de Mallorca, while architecture lovers will know that many historic buildings in the city have an impressive courtyard inside, like the Museum of Contemporary Art. Get some “ensaïmadas” to eat on the way to the cathedral or on one of the island’s beaches. Don’t forget to visit the “Paseo del Borne” to do some shopping.

Day 7
CAGLIARI, ITALY
Arrive 8:00 AM | Depart 5:00 PM
Cagliari, the capital of the Italian island of Sardinia, is situated high upon hills that offer a panoramic view of the Golfo degli Angeli — the Gulf of Angels. Walk along Poetto beach, with its soft sand and clear water, or visit the urban park of Molentargius with its flamingos, wetlands and magnificent birds. Cruise to Sardinia, Italy to peruse the local architectural sites: See Bastione di Saint Remy with its breathtaking terrace and Torre dell’Elefante, a medieval tower with a 360-degree view of the city. And don’t forget to take a meditative stroll through the lavish interior of the 13th-century Cagliari Cathedral.
